One of the students, Simon (Devon Bostick) can't stop thinking about the class assignment. He has lived with his guardian and uncle, Tom (Scott Speedman), ever since his own parents were killed. Simon’s furtive imagination relates the story to what he knows of his own background, with the terrorist taking the place of his father, Sami (Noam Jenkins), who crashed the car he was driving killing his wife Rachel (Rachel Blanchard) leaving Simon orphaned. This has always haunted Simon who secretly fears his father's actions were intentional. Relating his version of the translation to his class, Simon then starts researching on the internet, which unearths some unexpected information and sheds new light on his family's past... |
