When a legendary commander Sgt. Nathan West (Samuel L Jackson) and several of his men turn up missing, the last thing the government wants is a rogue DEA agent, Tom Hardy (John Travolta), investigating this. Set in the jungles of Panama, BASIC tells the story of Agent Hardy who is brought in to investigate the disappearance of Sgt West and several of his cadets during a training exercise that might have resulted in murder. As the investigation unfolds, the agent is placed in direct conflict with the Army's official investigating officer Lt. Julia Osborne (Connie Nielsen) and nothing is as it seems. |
