Synopsis

The story follows Ray (John Getz) who works in a bar and has an affair with the boss' wife, Abby (Frances McDormand). This leads them into a dire situation where jealousy, revenge and corruption help to destroy their relationship because they don't talk to each other and the decisions they make are based on misunderstandings. All the characters in BLOOD SIMPLE are corrupt or dim enough to make disastrousy bad choices, including the corrupt private detective, Loren Visser (M Emmet Walsh).
