In order to support his alcoholic 45 year-old mother, Sherry (Nancy Beatty), he spends his nights hustling on the street, while still keeping up the daily façade of going off to school each morning. Garnet (D Garnett Harding) who is 25 year-old attractive and intelligent hustler, catches Crete’s eye. After a negative experience with a trick, Crete offers Garnet a place to crash for the night. In the morning Crete leaves, as he always does, for school leaving Garnet still sleeping in his bed. Crete spends his days wandering the growing city. On his return home he is faced with Sherry and Garnet, partying together. Garnet assures him that Sherry doesn’t know the circumstances of their friendship, he told her they were in school together. As Crete goes about his schedule, Sherry and Garnet grow closer together, forcing Crete to make some different choices. |
