Synopsis

Cécile (Catherine Deneuve) has settled in Tangiers and lives there with her Moroccan husband, Nathan (Gilbert Melki) who’s younger than her. Their grown up son, Sami (Malik Zidi), has just joined them from Paris with his partner Nadia (Lubna Azabal).

Meanwhile a French engineer, Antoine (Gérard Depardieu), who loved Cécile over 30 years ago but they broke up, has moved to Tangiers to supervise the construction of a major television facility. Antoine has never forgotten Cécile and sets out with a renewed determination to meet up with her again. He conspires to get close to her again but she has moved on with her life and finds his sudden intrusions throw her life and her family’s into utter turmoil.
