Synopsis

DARK DAYS is a documentary about homeless people living in a train tunnel beneath Manhattan. The film shows the grim reality of living in these conditions. Amongst piles of rubbish and swarming with rats, the inhabitants live in makeshift huts built from scavenged materials and furnished with discarded pieces found on the city streets. The darkness is pierced by the trains that speed out of the station and these conditions, endured by some inhabitants for over 20 years, defies most peoples' imagination.
