Synopsis

Based upon the celebrated novel La Bestia Nel Cuore, DON'T TELL is the intriguing story of a young woman's journey into her past and the aftermath of confronting personal demons long hidden beneath the surface of her psyche. In the central role is Giovanna Mezzogiornio (Best Actress, 2005 Venice Film Festival), who plays Sabina, a beautiful young woman who seems to have it all with a supportive boyfriend, a comfortable lifestyle and a promising future.

All this changes when Sabina falls pregnant and what should be a happy experience descends into confusion and begins to tear her world apart as a succession of haunting nightmares, strange memories and personal insecurities cast an indelible shadow over Sabina's life.

Leaving her boyfriend Franco (Alessio Boni) behind she flees to America seeking solace from her brother Daniele (Luigi Lo Cascio) and his family. But the dark and disturbing truths Sabina uncovers lead her along a path of either redemption or destruction.
