Synopsis

A brilliant detective with a tragic past, a beautiful girl hounded by a maniac, a ferocious serial killer whose hobby is mutilating victims and a race against time to stop him - these are the ingredients of EYES OF CRYSTAL. The film is a tense, heart-stopping thriller, somewhere between SEVEN and SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.

Luigi La Cascio (THE BEST OF YOUTH, GOOD MORNING NIGHT) plays Giacomo Amaldi, a hot-headed police detective with a shocking ghost in his past. Spanish dancer-turned-actress Lucia Jimenez plays Guiditta, a beautiful lady with a habit of walking into dark corners at just the wrong moment.

EYES OF CRYSTAL is stylish and horrific in equal measures, with a jump-cut edit of a triple-murder amongst the most gruesome of scenes. The film is a truly disturbing serial killer tale, centring around the construction of a life-size eighteenth century sex doll, sewn together out of the bloody limbs of his unfortunate victims.

EYES OF CRYSTAL is a stylish essay in shock tactics from second-time director Eros Puglielli, and a sure-fire hit with those who have the stomach for it.
