When she announces they are to marry by weeks end, her son Scott (Adam Garcia) is certain there is more to their relationship than meets the eye. Suspicious of Oliver, Scott is soon blinded by his attraction to Kelly (Alice Evans), Oliver's daughter. Convinced his father's death was not an accident, Scott, with Kelly's help, begins to investigate. They quickly seem to bond and fall in love. Before they can prove their suspicions, a series of events leads to a fatal explosion that kills both their parents. When Scott discovers Kelly's deceptions, he begins to wonder if he is being implicated deliberately in their parents’ deaths and whether he has been trusting the wrong person.
