Synopsis

Set in the 1930's Victor Derval (Philippe Noiret) a leading, aging actor on the Paris stage is flattered by the attentions of Lisa Lanska (Veronika Varga) and thinks she could be his perfect PA and lover. Unfortunately Victor's son Paul (Manuel Blanc) falls for Lisa himself as does Paris' leading playwright Romain Coste (Jaques Roman). Lisa, an Hungarian exile and ambitious actress exploits her position as Victor's mistress and is determined to further her acting career at both Victor and Paul's expense when Romain casts her in a role in his next play instead of Victor.
