Wes is a minister in a Harlem gospel church while Te perpetrates the gangster lifestyle as hip-hop star Zulu. However when Te is forced to seek refuge from his enraged record producer Bull Sharky (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) he retreats to his childhood home in Harlem attempting to mingle with his brother's community. While Bull Sharky and his gang close in on Te, Te becomes more immersed in the community especially the failing church choir.
