The Quiet American (1958) - movie information

Synopsis

From the classic novel by Graham Greene comes a murder mystery centred on a love triangle set against the French Indochina War in Vietnam, circa 1952. It's the story of Thomas Fowler (Michael Caine), a veteran English journalist, a young American Alden Pyle, (Brendan Fraser), and Phuong (Do Hai Yen), the beautiful Vietnamese woman caught between them. This is a world where nothing is as it seems - suffused with opium, intrigue and betrayal.
