Synopsis

If Iceland is the hippest destination, then Icelandic music must be the epitome of cool. SCREAMING MASTERPIECE is a look at the Icelandic music industry that is on the verge of achieving global cult status, not least to a host of bands with unpronounceable names.

Espoused by the likes of the Foo Fighters, Billboard Magazine and Damon Albarn this film takes us on a journey from the eccentric melodies and ancient poetry to the modern era of electronica, hip-hop, thrash metal and, the country’s ambassadors, Björk and Sigur Rós.
