DJ Williams (Columbus Short) is a kid more used to the street of Los Angeles than college, but he ends up attending the historically black, Truth University in Atlanta, Georgia when he gets on the wrong side of the law. A talented dancer, it is here that his life is transformed when he joins a fraternity who recruits him in their bid to win the highly competitive national step show competition.
