Synopsis

THRONE OF BLOOD aka KUMONOSU-JO is Kurosawa's spectacular interpretation and adaptation of Shakespeare's MACBETH, starring Toshiro Mifune as the power-hungry warrior, who is encouraged by his wife to fulfil his ambition and become Emperor. Directed by Akira Kurosawa, one of the greatest filmmakers of 20th century, it was filmed in black and white and is being re-released on a new print.
