Leaving her daughter’s a small piggy bank she has promised to return when it’s full. This promise is unfulfilled when the girls achieve their goal and the piggy bank is filled but their mother doesn’t come back. When Big Aunt decides she can’t care for her nieces any longer, the girls are uprooted again and taken to their grandparents’ farm and while here Jin discovers the importance of family bonds in this beautiful, meditative, and thought-provoking second feature from So Yong Kim, the acclaimed director of IN BETWEEN DAYS. |
